As an Edmund Rice school we strive to provide excellence in education inspired by the vision of Blessed Edmund Rice. Our school is a caring, student centred community where students are nurtured and challenged to achieve their very best in all areas of life. We aim to provide our students with a positive learning environment so that they can develop the skills, attitudes and knowledge necessary for their full and active participation in society.

The school is a caring community where the uniqueness of each individual is recognised and where holistic development is nurtured in the context of high educational, developmental and pastoral standards.  In addition to the provision of high standards of excellence in teaching and learning, our school upholds a strong tradition in extracurricular activities, Gaelic culture, and an ethos of social justice.

Partnership is a key feature of our community and we strongly encourage the active participation of parents in the life of our school. Our Parents’ Council contributes to the life of our school in a vibrant and dynamic way. Our Student Council has an active voice in our school and contributes to our school community in a real and meaningful way. The relationship between parents, staff and students is characterised by mutual respect and support, which contributes hugely to the ongoing success of our school.

Together with the Deputy Principal, Mr. O’Callaghan, I am thrilled to be leading the school forward, building on the tremendous achievements of its past while helping to navigate its unfolding and exciting future. I am privileged to work with a very talented staff who, in their enthusiasm and commitment, give their very best for the students of our school.

The school is also greatly assisted by our Board of Management and by the Edmund Rice Schools Trust who are unwavering in their support for the school.
