Leinster Schools Cross Country Championship, 16th February 2022.
Well done to all those who participated in really awful conditions (Storm Dudley).
A special well done to the senior cross country team who took silver medals with strong performances from Adam Condon (finished 3rd place overall ), Shane Spring (finished 6th place), Niall Carberry (finished 8th place) and Ronan Donohue (finished 36th place ) . Well done to Marcus O’Sullivan , Kevin Moran , John Stephens and David McCarthy who also were part of the team.
This senior team will now go on and compete in the national cross country championship which will be held on the 12th March in Mallusk, Belfast.
East Leinster Cross Country Championship, 26th January 2022
Firstly, a huge well done to all members of the Senior team who took gold team medals. Led home by Adam Condon (2nd place), Niall Carberry (3rd place ), Shane Spring (4th place) and Ronan Donohoe (10th place) and well done to all other members of the team. This team has now qualified to run the Leinster Schools Cross Country Championship which will be held on Wednesday 16th of February in Santry Demesne.
Others who qualified for Leinster finals where the following:
Minor (U.14) Alex Flynn (10th place finish) and Kevin Nyhan(15th place)
Junior (U.15) Aidan Benjacar (9th place)
Intermediate (U.17) Lorcan Benjacar (5th place)
All fields had 80 plus runners and top 15 athletes go through to the Leinster finals.
