This morning, on the Gerry O’ Brien pitch, the 2nd years took part in a football blitz organised by TY Beckett and Mr. Colgan as a part of the GAA Future Leaders course.
The year was split up into 4 teams each managed by a TY student. Each team played 3 matches with a 3rd place playoff for the bottom 2 teams.
The final was played between the teams of David O’ Connell and Finn Daly. Both teams showed great passion and willingness to play.
In the end, Finn’s came out on top and medals were awarded to the players.
Seán Keogh presented Mark Dempsey with Player of the Tournament and the players from the winning team will be getting pizza after the Christmas break.
A great day out for all involved.
